Pastor Luc and Pastor Jacques, pastors in Grand Goave, Haiti, have visited our church several times. They were impressed with the lush, green cornfields surrounding the church. They decided to call us “The Church in the Cornfield”. So two congregations in Haiti pray regularly for “The Church in the Cornfield” a small congregation in rural Indiana, roughly 1,800 miles away. Amazing, isn’t it?
We believe we are situated in this place for a purpose. The congregation gathers in this rural church from a distance of 1/2 mile to close to 30 miles. Burr Oak is committed to touching lives of those who attend as well as people in our community with whom we come in contact. Our call remains the same no matter where we’re “planted” – help people experience God’s love.
