Q & A:

How long are your services?
A:  Services are about 90 minutes in length.  We usually begin with music.  When it comes to the sermon time, Toddlers and Elementary Kids, Kdg. through 5th grade are dismissed for their own church time.

What do people wear when they attend Sunday morning worship?
A:  People come in a variety of dress styles–from shorts and flip-flops to slacks and dress shirts.

What is the worship/preaching style like?
A:   The music style is diverse.  We use contemporary songs as well as traditional hymns.  Music teams back up the music leader.  The messages are based on Scripture and applied to daily life. Occasionally a small group will perform a reader’s theater or a skit to support the theme of the worship service or an upcoming event.  At least twice a month we provide a short teaching lesson during Children’s Time that reinforces the sermon topic.

How many people attend Burr Oak?
A:  We currently average about 70 people in attendance each Sunday ranging in age from newborns to 90+ year olds.

 What is your pastor like?
A:  Our Transitional Pastor, Debbie Voss, is a warm, caring individual who loves to talk with people.

 What do you believe?
A:  We support a written Confession of Faith and we are a part of the EVANA Network group of churches across the USA and Canada.
